Meet Recap

The Middletown Boys Varsity Bowling team won their match today by defeating the Mason Comets at Mason Bowl!

Senior Nick Tsakeris was high bowler today as he threw games of 185 and an amazing 278 game! Freshman James Prater had another great day as he rolled a 180 followed by an awesome 259! Senior Chris Cupp shot a great 248 game, while Junior Zach Maloney added a 200! Great job boys!

The team was down by 67 pins going into the Baker round, but that did not stop them from chipping away at the lead. They started with a 211 to pull within 47 pins, then a very nice 231 to take the lead, and finished with 210 and 217 to win the match by only 22 pins!

For the spectators and bowlers, it was a great match. Both teams fought hard from start to finish. It’s one of those matches that you dream of having from 2 great teams, fighting it out until the last ball is thrown. Our hats go off to you Mason! Great job!

The JV team also won their match today and had some nice games as well. Freshman Austin Smith rolled a 155 & 170, while teammate and Freshman Nathan Weiland threw a great 189! Way to go guys!

Middletown is now 5-3 in the GMC, and 9-3 overall.

Next up for the Middies is Lebanon this Wednesday at home. The match will start around 3:45pm. We would love to have everyone come out and cheer us on to another win! See you there!
