Boys Junior Varsity Bowling, Boys Varsity Bowling · Boys Varsity Bowling lose to Fairfield 2785-2696

The Middletown Boys Varsity Bowling team lost their 1st match of the season today to the Fairfield Indians at the Game of Fairfield.

Senior Zach Maloney tore up the lanes today with games of 225 & 236, for a 230.5 average! Awesome! Sophomore James Prater was only 5 pins behind Zach when he rolled a 191 and then an incredible 265 game, for a 228 average! Way to go! Sophomore Jacob Cowgill started with a 170 game and then threw a very nice 223! Sophomore Matthew Minor bowled a nice 205, while Senior Michael Yenke had a 179 game! Both teams battled back and forth and it was very intense! Our boys were down by 79 pins after the first game, then up by 1 pin after the second. Things were still close after the 1st Baker game, but then Fairfield ripped off a 256 game and never looked back. Keep your head up boys!

The JV squad also lost their match with totals of 2332 to 2251. However, they posted some very good scores. Sophomore Nathan Weiland led the team today shooting 2 nice games of 180 & 193! Senior Hunter Moore threw a nice 179 & 161! Freshman Luke Lawson bowled a very nice 191 game, while Senior Liam Delaney rolled a 175, and Sophomore Austin Smith shot a 166! The boys were up by 87 pins going into the Baker set, when they not only struggled to pick up their spares, but found out how good Fairfield is in Bakers, to lose the match. Great scores guys, keep it up!

Middletown is now 3-1 in the GMC, and 7-1 overall. Next up for the Middies is Little Miami at home this Wednesday. Come out and cheer on your Middies!
