Boys Junior Varsity Bowling, Boys Varsity Bowling · Boys Varsity Bowling lose to Oak Hills 2970-2827

The Middletown Boys Varsity Bowling team lost a tough match today against GMC opponent Oak Hills at Western Bowl.

Freshman Ethan Rowe was on fire today right from the beginning, shooting a very nice 214 game and then an awesome 245 game, for a 459 series and a 229.5 average! Senior Zach Maloney started his 2 game set with an amazing 255 game and finished with a 177, for a 216 average! Sophomore Matthew Minor threw 2 nice games of 202 & 182, while Sophomore Austin Smith shot a very nice 226 game, and Sophomore James Prater bowled a nice 190!

The boys were only 3 pins behind after the first individual game, but after some very high scores from the opposing team, and a few low games from us, we were then down 108 pins. Our squad did very well in Bakers, with games of 195, 223, 208, and 196, for a 822 total and a 205.5 average, but it wasn’t enough the catch the powerhouse team from Oak Hills, who remain undefeated. Still a great job from our boys! Keep your heads up!

The JV squad won their match today by 134 pins by a score of 2331-2197! Leading the squad was Freshman Tyler Jurmu with 2 very nice games of 200 & 205! Awesome! Sophomore Nathan Weiland had a good day also when he shot a 178 & a 171!  Senior Hunter Moore threw a couple of good games himself with a 169 & 163! Another highlight came when Senior Liam Delaney came out firing on his 2nd game with the first 6 strikes, to finish with an awesome 240 game, his highest ever! The boys put together some nice Baker games also, shooting 138, 169, 190, and 177, for a 168.5 average! Way to go squad!
