The Middletown Boys Varsity Bowling team finished their season today at the District Championships and unfortunately will not be advancing to State.
The team started off strong, but could not hold their momentum after the 1st game. Leading the team was Sophomore Matthew Minor with games of 180, 213, & 199 for a 592 series! Senior Zach Maloney wasn’t too far behind shooting 183, 190, & 207 for a 580 series! Senior Danny Temple was able to put together a 3 game set of 506, which included a 172, 156, & 178! Sophomore James Prater threw an awesome game of 247 to start the day and followed it up with a 172! Freshman Ethan Rowe rolled 2 games to help the team with scores of 159 & 177!
The boys were out of the hunt for state going into the Baker round, so it was time to have some fun! They didn’t do too bad averaging 171 with a high game of 204, but they made sure to have a good time and allow the Seniors to enjoy their final time on the lanes, to not only close out their high school careers, but also do it with their close teammates which have been with them since they joined the program. We are going to miss them dearly, and we are proud of each and every one of them! Good luck in your bright futures!
Congratulations on a GREAT season! See you at the Winter Awards Program on March 21st at 6pm in the Arena!
