Boys Junior Varsity Bowling, Boys Varsity Bowling · Boys Varsity Bowling beats MCS in Crosstown Shootout 2797-2607!


The Middletown Boys Varsity Bowling team won the battle against Middletown Christian in the 1st ever Crosstown Shootout today at Eastern Lanes!

Sophomore Ethan Rowe tore up the lanes today and “left no pins standing” when he cranked out an incredible 279 game, and followed it up with another amazing game of 242! That equates to a 260.5 average! Way to go Ethan! Junior Austin Smith ripped them up too with an awesome 253 game, and finished with a 420 series and a 210 average! Junior Matthew Minor thew a very nice 211 and added a 182 to finish his set! Junior James Prater was consistent again rolling 2 nice games of 192 & 186!

The boys were up 123 pins going into the Baker round, and didn’t look back. They put together a great 224 game to start, followed it up with a 196, 201, and 181 to finish for the first time this season with a 200 average for Bakers! Very nice! Way to go!

The JV squad blew away the Eagles and won their match also by an incredible 508 pins, with a score of 2126-1618! High man of the day goes to Sophomore Luke Lawson when he posted a 151, and then knocked out an awesome 223 game! Great job! Only 5 pins behind his teammate for total was Sophomore Braeden Wills as he started his set with his highest game EVER, a 201 game, and kept it going with a nice 168 game! Way to go Braeden! Freshman Justyn Henson had his highest game of the season when he threw a 185! Freshman Dylan Wood held his own and helped the team get the win with games of 136 & 147!

The boys had some decent Baker games also with scores of 125, 163, 144, & 136! They also broke their highest total pinfall of the season that they just posted on Monday!

Middletown Varsity Boys are now 9-0 overall, and still 3-0 in the GMC. The JV team is now 5-1 overall.
