The Middletown Boys Varsity Bowling team defeated the Princeton Vikings in another GMC match today at Eastern Lanes!
The boys had a great day on the lanes at home. Leading the pack in scores was Sophomore Ethan Rowe shooting a nice 201 game to start, followed by an even better 225, for a 213 average! Junior James Prater started out on fire by busting out a very nice 234 game, and then finished with a 180 game for a 207 average! Junior Matthew Minor tossed a very nice 213 game and a 177! Junior Austin Smith had his own awesome 234 game, while teammates Nathan Weiland shot a 182 and Jacob Cowgill rolled a 170 game!
After the first game of 1052, the boys were up by 272 pins and never looked back! Their 2nd game was a bit lower, but then they poured it on again in Bakers, with a nice 194, amazing 245, and a 202! When all was said and done, they won the match by a whopping 550 pins! Way to go!
The JV squad unfortunately did not have a match today because Princeton does not have JV squads this year.
Middletown Varsity Boys bump their overall record to 16-1, and 7-1 in the GMC, now tied with Oak Hills for 1st place in the GMC! The JV team’s record remains at 8-3 overall.
The Middies will travel to Oxford Lanes this coming Monday to face the Talawanda Braves. It is also their Senior Night. All Seniors, including ours, will be honored during the break! Hope to see you there!
