The Boys and Girls JV Bowling teams both lost their matches to the Hamilton Big Blue today at Eastern Lanes.
Unfortunately, our teams only had 4 bowlers each against their opponent’s 5, so it’s always hard to win a match when you are short a bowler. For the boys however, Junior Tristan Johnson rolled 2 good games of 176 & 153 to lead the Boys team! Senior Austin McDonell started his set with a nice 162 game and finished with a 127! Freshman Steven McDonough threw a 123 & 136, while Freshman Nolan See shot a 122! But during the Baker round, when you are missing a bowler, you have 2 frames with “0” for each frame, so the boys couldn’t catch their opponent and lost 1938-1430.
For the girls team, they struggled with their spares and ended up losing 1702-1152. High bowler for the squad was Sophomore Keeghan Wills, with games of 108 & 143! Sophomore Adia Salome threw a 118 game, and Freshman Kaleigh Allen (who’s birthday is today) rolled a 115!
The Girls’ overall record falls to 0-3, and the Boys record goes to 1-3.
The Boys team will face Miamisburg on Thursday at Poelking South, but the Girls team will have the day off since Miamisburg does not have a Girls JV team. Spectators are allowed, but are limited to 1 per bowler. If you can make it, we’d love to see you there! I know the bowlers would love to have some family behind them cheering them on! The match will start at 4:00pm.
