Boys Varsity Bowling · Boys Varsity Bowling loses to Miamisburg 2438-2193

The Middletown Boys Varsity Bowling team lost only their 2nd match of the season today to the Miamisburg Vikings at Poelking Lanes South.

The lanes did not play well for the boys today. It seemed like they were different every time our team bowled vs. how their opponents were bowling on a different pair of lanes. They struggled in the first game, so they were chasing their opponent the rest of the match. The high bowler of the day was Senior Luke Lawson, who was very consistent in both games, shooting a 202 & 204! Great job Luke! Sophomore Tanner Back started with a 159 game, but came up firing for game #2 with a very nice 211! Junior Dylan Wood began the match with a 151, but also found his groove and threw a very nice 206 game! Senior Ethan Rowe tossed a 157 & a 179, while fellow Senior Braeden Wills rolled a 174 and Senior Tyler Jurmu had a 150!

The boys were pretty much out of it going into Bakers, but that didn’t stop them from coming together for 2 great games of 197 & 203!

Middletown Varsity Boys’ overall record drops to 4-2, and stays at 4-1 in the GMC, still tied for 1st place!

The boys team will be participating in the Sweet 16 tournament on Sunday at Poelking Lanes South. A limited number of spectators are allowed, so please root the boys on from home!
