Girls Varsity Bowling · Girls Varsity Bowling takes 5th place at Conference Clash!

The Girls Varsity Bowling team took 5th place today at the inaugural Conference Clash tournament at Colerain Bowl!

This tournament consists of GMC teams only. The format is 3 regular games, then 6 Baker games, with the total pinfall determining the champion. We also bowled on the sports shot today that will be used at Sectionals and Districts Championships this year.

The oil pattern was tough for most of the bowlers today, as it does not allow the ball to hook back from the outside part of the lanes, which also means that spares are very important. However, Senior Emily Cupp figured it out early and bowled very well today, throwing 3 very nice games of 184, 209, & a 184! Her 577 series also gave her 3rd place overall for individuals, making the All-Tournament Team! Awesome job Emily! Freshman Katlyn Boggs stepped up today and had the 2nd highest score on the team, when she rolled a 126, 124, and a great 162 game! Way to go Katlyn! Sophomore Mary Fletcher bowled a 143, 133, & 106! Freshman Rosa Roth had a 115, 138 & 124, and Sophomore Autumn Collins tossed a 133!

The girls were in 5th place heading into the Baker Round. They started off slow, had a few low games, and dropped to 7th place until the last 2 games where they brought it back up to finish in 5th place for the day! Their Baker scores were 121, 94, 149, 125, 141, & 167!

On Monday, the team travels to Strike Zone/JD Legends to take on the Franklin Wildcats for their last head-to-head match of the season. Spectators are permitted, with a limit of 2 per bowler. Match will begin at 4:00pm. See you there!
